Keyboard Superstar, Claudia Hirschfeld delighted an audience of over 180
people when she performed for our Gala Charity Concert on Saturday 29th
September. The concert, held in The Civic Hall, Dronfield attracted people
from Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, Suffolk and beyond. Many local people,
attended primarily to support the charity having never before attended an
organ concert and were astonished by Claudia's performance and the versatility
of her 3 manual Wersi "Louvre" organ - the German company's very latest
flagship instrument. 
The
concert was sponsored and produced by North East Derbyshire Organ Society and
the proceeds of the evening were donated to Chesterfield's Ashgate Hospice.
The event raised £900 and at the end of the evening Claudia, on behalf of
NEDOS, presented a cheque to Richard Matthews who attended on behalf of the
hospice. This was the society's fourth Gala Charity Concert for Ashgate Hospice and the society has to date raised almost £4,000 for this very deserving cause.
The NEDOS Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended, members who devoted their time and effort and all the organisations, businesses and individuals who contributed to the success of the event by way of advertising, publicity, raffle prizes, and catering.
